More than 50 family sports representatives from three countries competed on Lake Rabisha
More than 50 family sports representatives from three countries competed on Lake Rabisha in adventure team water games. Competitors from three countries – Serbia, Romania and Bulgaria, lovers of family adventure sports, competed in team games for families on the water, held on Lake “Rabiša”, next to the village of the same name. The forum is part of the activities of the project “Water adventure games for families”, which is implemented by four non-governmental organizations – “Consult Group”, Bulgaria, “Calafat – Duven” Association, Romania, “Vega Youth Center” association from Serbia and “Bononia” Water and Rowing Sports Club, under the “Erasmus +” program, Sport. More than 50 representatives of family sports took part in the three-day events, and each country participated with a representative family team of 10 people. A day before the competition, a technical conference was held, where they were clarified the disciplines, the participation regulations and ensuring safety for the participants. The competition itself began with an opening ceremony, followed by the start of the first of the three disciplines – the dragon boat race. For this purpose, the organizers had provided 4 dragon boats, in which each team from Serbia and Romania, one each, and two teams from Bulgaria, tested their strength against the other competitors in the 200 meters discipline. The competitors of the “Bononia” club finished first, the “Consult Group” second, the Romanian team took third place, and the Serbian rowers placed fourth. The second discipline, a competition with SUP – padel board, offered a lot of emotions and team responsibility gave the best result. First place was taken by the Serbian team, followed by Romania, “Consult Group” and “Bononia”. The teams had to cover a marked distance in the water and pass the baton ashore to the next competitor. The result is by time, taking into account the team’s total time, and the ranking is by points. The third event was a touring kayak race where each team had to go through a slalom and pass by Serbia, Romania and “Consult Group”. Medals, subject prizes and a team cup were provided for all participants, and for spectators – entertainment, an opportunity to fly in a balloon, try rowing in dragon boats and get on a SUP paddle board. The next Water Adventure Games for Families competition will be held on August 14-16 in Calafat, Romania. The boosters’ awards were presented on the third day of the competitions at a special ceremony.
