The holding of water adventure games for families was discussed in Belgrade by representatives of non-governmental organizations from Bulgaria, Serbia and Romania

Representatives of three countries – the association “Consult Group” and the water and rowing club “Bononia”, Bulgaria, the Association “Duiven – Calafat” – Romania, Vega, the Youth Center – Vega, Serbia discussed in Belgrade the future actions to implement the activities of the Water Adventure Games for Families project. The project is implemented under the “Erasmus +” Small Partnerships program and has a duration of 14 months, with the deadline for its completion being October 2023. At the meeting, which took place in Belgrade on February 3 and 4, each of the participating organizations presented the progress of the project so far and the organization of upcoming events. The disciplines of the main games that will be held in the summer in the three countries – Serbia, Romania and Bulgaria – were also specified. The representatives of Vega – Youth Center from Serbia will organize the events of water games on the river “Danube” in at least three disciplines related to family sports. The other partners of the project, the association “Consult Group”, Bulgaria, the Association “Duiven – Calafat” – Romania and the water and rowing sports club “Bononia” presented their ideas and disciplines for holding the competitions. Under the “Water Adventure Games for Families” project, three training seminars for judges, coaches and volunteers, who will be involved in the organization and conduct of the games, are to be held. The first seminar will take place in Belgrade in March, and each of the participants will be involved with five representatives from a country. The regulation by which the families will compete will also be presented at it. The next workshop is in Calafat, Romania in April, and the last training event before the games will be hosted by the city of Vidin. At it, experts from the “Bononia” water and rowing sports club will introduce the participants to details about the regulations and the conduct of this type of games. The new project website was also presented at the meeting, which is in English and Bulgarian with links to the pages of the partner organizations and opportunities for each organization to participate in it with its own materials.
